Deploy Binom VPS in 15 minutes

Run a self-hosted Binom tracker on a VPS that stays online 24/7. Order a server on Ubuntu 22.04/24.04, run the official installer, and the tracker starts counting clicks with no limits and no monthly fee tied to your traffic volume.

What can you do with self-hosted Binom VPS

Binom v2 is a self-hosted ad tracker for affiliate marketing and media buying. On your own VPS hosting, it routes clicks, receives postbacks, and builds reports in real time while you focus on campaigns.

Click tracking with no click limits

No click ceiling, no bill that climbs with your traffic. A single ClickHouse node handles up to 260M clicks a day at a flat price. The only cap is your hardware.

A production redirector for media buying

A node next to your traffic returns redirects in 10–30 ms instead of 150–200 ms across another continent. Put the server in your geo — Singapore or Hong Kong for Asia, for example.

Traffic distribution and splits by rule

The campaign builder sets up paths with landers, offers, and weights, while rules split traffic by geo, device, ISP, or tokens from the source. Split tests and offer rotation run entirely on your own node.

Conversion tracking via S2S postback

Add a postback URL in your affiliate network and every conversion is attributed to its originating click automatically. Campaign analytics — revenue, cost, and ROI — pull from local ClickHouse in fractions of a second.

Private tracking with data on your own server

Click logs, conversions, and campaign structure stay on your node and never go out to third-party platforms. That satisfies networks' data-handling requirements and removes any dependence on someone else's cloud uptime.

Anti-spy protection for your offers

Built-in LP Protect embeds cloaking code into landing pages, while a separate Binom Protect container filters bots, VPNs, proxies, and anti-detect browsers at the traffic level. Spy tools see a decoy, not your offer.

Choose a Binom VPS plan

The installer needs at least 40 GB of free drive and a clean server, so the entry point is VPS Premium (8 GB RAM, 4 cores, 50 GB SSD, $33.99/mo): about 20 CPS with headroom for data growth. For higher volumes, up to ~100 CPS, go with VPS Elite (80 GB SSD). Every plan includes one dedicated IPv4, free weekly backups, KVM, and full root/SSH.

How to deploy Binom on a VPS

A clean Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 server and the official Binom installer.

The fast path is a clean Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 server and the official Binom installer. The full walkthrough with every edge case lives in our step-by-step Binom install guide.

Before you start, register at binom.org and start a trial. The installer outputs a Tracker ID that you activate in your account.

Step 01 — Order a VPS and connect over SSH

In the configurator, choose Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04, as Binom v2 supports nothing else. Access details arrive by email 5–15 minutes after payment. Connect and check the environment:

ssh root@YOUR_VPS_IPlsb_release -adf -h /

The Avail column must show at least 40 GB, and no web services should be running on the server.

Step 02 — Run the installer

Download and run the v2 script. It asks for one thing (your email) then installs everything automatically (dependencies, Docker, tracker, observer) in 10–15 minutes:

wget https://data.binom.org/binom_v2_install.sh -O /root/binom_v2_install.shbash /root/binom_v2_install.sh install

When it finishes, the terminal shows the URL, login, password, and Tracker ID. Save all four values — the password and Tracker ID are generated once and cannot be recovered.

Step 03 — Activate your license

Open http://YOUR_IP/index and you'll see a "License not found" screen with your Tracker ID. Log in to your binom.org account, paste the Tracker ID in the license section, refresh the tracker URL, and log in as admin.

Step 04 — Configure the firewall

The installer sets up Caddy as the reverse proxy on ports 80 and 443. Configure UFW to match:

ufw allow 22/tcpufw allow 80/tcpufw allow 443/tcpufw enable

The internal container ports (8080, 9000, 5432, 8123, and others) are not exposed; all external traffic enters through Caddy.

Common issues

Field-tested on is*hosting servers.

  • The installer exits immediately with an OS error. Binom v2 runs only on Ubuntu 22.04/24.04; on CentOS, Debian, FreeBSD, and newer releases the script checks the version and quits. Rebuild the server on a supported OS.
  • "At least 40GB of free drive storage is required." The installer counts free space, not total drive size. After Ubuntu's base footprint (~3 GB), a 40 GB plan doesn't clear the threshold — pick Premium (50 GB) or higher. Check with df -h /, the Avail column.
  • "License not found" after install. The trial has to be started before activation. Register at binom.org, paste the issued Tracker ID in the license section, and refresh the page.
  • Campaigns won't open over HTTPS. The install completes on a bare IP, but ads need a domain with HTTPS. Create an A record to the server's IPv4 before running the installer and wait for propagation (check at whatsmydns.net).
  • Reports act strange after an update. The usual cause is stale cache; clear your browser cache and cookies, which the docs specifically call out. Before updating, export a database backup of Binom: docker exec binom_postgres pg_dump -U postgres binom > /root/binom_backup.sql.

is*hosting infrastructure is a solid base for Binom VPS

Your cores, your RAM via KVM

KVM virtualization with dedicated resources means what you pay for is what runs. There is no shared pool deciding when your tracker gets OOM-killed under a traffic peak.

Clean IP and DDoS protection

A dedicated IPv4 (with IPv6 available) on every plan satisfies Binom's need for a public IP for tracking links and DNS. A clean IP and DDoS protection keep redirects alive during peak hours.

Backed by Tier 3+ data centers

Every location meets Tier 3 standards or higher — redundant power, network, and physical security. The server hosting your tracker keeps running 24/7 in any of 40+ locations near your traffic.

Frequently asked questions about Binom hosting

What is Binom VPS?

It's VPS hosting running the self-hosted Binom v2 tracker on a virtual server instead of a cloud service. The tracker stays online 24/7, routes clicks, receives postbacks, and keeps all campaign data on a server you control. On is*hosting you install it on clean Ubuntu with the official installer.

What OS does Binom v2 run on?

You can install Binom on Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04 only. CentOS, Debian, FreeBSD, and newer Ubuntu releases are not supported. The installer checks the OS version and exits if it doesn't match.

Does Binom v2 use MySQL?

No. Binom v1 ran on a MySQL stack; v2 moved to ClickHouse for click data and PostgreSQL for campaign and conversion data, which is what lets a single node handle up to 260M clicks a day.

Which plan should I choose for my traffic?

Best VPS for Binom for ~20 CPS (~1,200 clicks/min) is Premium VPS (50 GB SSD). For ~100 CPS (~6,000 clicks/min), choose Elite VPS (80 GB SSD). Medium (40 GB) doesn't clear the installer threshold after Ubuntu's base footprint. Storage grows by roughly 2–3 GB per 1M clicks.

How much does a Binom license cost?

$149/mo on monthly billing, or $104/mo on an annual plan. No per-click charges, no domain limits, and no user seat limits at any traffic volume — this is where Binom differs from cloud trackers with per-click pricing.

Do I need a domain to install it?

Not for the install itself; the tracker comes up on a bare IP over HTTP. But ad campaigns need a domain with HTTPS: create an A record to the server's IPv4 before running the installer.

How is Binom different from Voluum, RedTrack, or Keitaro?

Binom is self-hosted and charges a flat fee regardless of traffic volume, whereas cloud trackers bill per click or per event. Your data stays on your own server, and you can place that server near your traffic GEO for minimal redirects.
